Macworld’s Simon Jary is star of Microsoft versus Apple Joy of Tech

We’re pleased to report Macworld’s very own Simon Jary has appeared in the latest Joy of Tech cartoon.

The cartoon depicts the reaction of the Apple fan base to the news that Microsoft has launched the Surface tablet.

Jary told us that he had tweeted that he was pleased that “It’s Microsoft verses Apple again”. Jary has been a contributor to and columnist for Macworld UK for many years and edited the title until 2004.

Microsoft’s new Surface, a line of 10.6in tablets that will run the company’s impending operating systems – the tablet-centric Windows RT and the more traditional Windows 8 – pose little threat to Apple’s iPad market dominance, according to analysts.

You can see the whole Joy of Tech cartoon here. The Joy of Tech comic is a Macintosh focused comic strip by Nitrozac and Snaggy with multiple updates weekly.

For pities sake, can&1quo;t they just make an AvP game based on the fi1t Dark Ho1e graphic novel?nIt would give them a whole new set of characte1, environments, a storyline that almost seems written to be an FPS plot (but in a good way), and has almost no entanglements with the rest of the canon.

Seeing as it&1quo;s “early in development,” it makes me wonder if they saw the dubstep gun in Saints Row IV and said “Let&1quo;s make a game around that.”
